Who We Are

We're Allan & Amy Baron — partners in life and in law.

We started this practice because we believe divorce doesn’t have to mean destruction. Most people going through divorce aren’t angry — they’re overwhelmed. They need guidance, not a battle plan.

That’s what we offer: a calm, experienced presence to help you make the decisions that are right for your family.

Why Mediation

A Better Way Through Divorce

Mediation gives couples the opportunity to work through important decisions together, with guidance and structure — without turning your divorce into a battle.

You Stay in Control

Instead of leaving decisions to a judge, mediation allows the two of you to shape the agreements that will affect your family and your future.

Your Privacy Is Protected

Mediation is a private process. Personal discussions about your family, finances, and parenting stay out of public court proceedings.

Less Conflict, Better Outcomes

When both people help build the agreement, both people honor it. Mediation often reduces conflict and makes it easier to move forward.

Whenever You're Ready, We're Here.

There’s no pressure. No sales pitch. Just a conversation about what you’re going through and how we might help.

FAQ

Common Questions About Divorce Mediation

Many people have similar questions when they begin exploring mediation. Here are a few we hear most often.

Mediation is a process where both people sit down with a neutral third party — the mediator — to talk through the terms of their divorce and reach an agreement together, outside of court.

In traditional divorce, each person hires their own attorney. In mediation, one neutral mediator helps both people come to an agreement together. It’s typically faster, less expensive, and much less adversarial.

Most mediations wrap up in a few months, which is significantly shorter than going through the courts. The exact timeline depends on your situation, but we move at whatever pace feels right for you.

That’s common, and it’s okay. Sometimes one person is more open to it first. We can help you have that conversation, or your spouse is welcome to reach out to us directly.

You’re always welcome to consult with your own attorney during the process. Many people do, and we encourage it if it gives you added peace of mind.

Mediation is typically a fraction of the cost of traditional litigation. Because you’re working together rather than against each other, the process is more efficient and there are fewer legal fees overall.
